Fixed-fee claim review

A £100 written assessment before any funded-case decision.

A structured review of the complete material—not a promise of acceptance, success or representation.

What the assessment covers

A realistic first-stage view of the claim.

  • The material facts and proposed legal basis of the claim.
  • The evidence supporting the essential allegations.
  • Contrary evidence, credibility issues and likely defences.
  • Apparent limitation, jurisdiction and procedural concerns.
  • An indicative view of merits and prospects based on the documents supplied.
  • A potential valuation range where a responsible estimate is possible.
  • Whether the claim may be considered for a separate funded-case agreement.
Price

£100 fixed assessment fee

The fee is for the assessment work and is ordinarily non-refundable once substantive review begins. It is payable even if the claim is declined.

Assessment standard

We assess the case you actually have—not the case you hoped to have.

The written assessment may conclude that the claim is weak, uneconomic, out of time, insufficiently evidenced or unsuitable for funded support. That conclusion is still the product purchased: an independent practical view intended to prevent further wasted cost or identify what must change.

Before paying

Do not pay until we confirm that the subject matter appears suitable for an assessment and provide written scope and payment instructions.

What happens after the report?

If the matter is not accepted, the assessment concludes the service unless separate work is agreed. If it is potentially suitable, we may invite further enquiries and propose a distinct funded-case agreement. You are not obliged to accept it.

Important service boundary

This is an application and assessment service, not a promise that your claim will be accepted or succeed. Fenton Marsh is a paralegal-led legal support service, not a traditional solicitor firm. We prepare and guide. You remain the claimant and remain responsible for decisions, signatures, filing, service, correspondence, court fees, compliance with orders and attendance unless a different lawful arrangement is expressly agreed in writing. Reserved legal activities and work requiring an authorised person are not undertaken unless lawfully provided through an appropriately authorised professional.
